What I really appreciated about Nostalgia Hotel was the exceptional hospitality and friendliness of the staff. Everyone, from the reception team to housekeeping and restaurant staff, was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and always smiling. Even those not fluent in English made every effort to communicate using translation apps, ensuring guests felt comfortable and well looked after. The hotel's WeChat service was particularly convenient, with staff responding to requests within minutes. The rooms were excellent, clean, and well maintained. I have stayed here previously with my family in one of their spacious family rooms, which included a lovely children's corner that my kids absolutely loved. The breakfast was also very good, with a nice variety of options. Although the hotel does not specifically provide halal food, the restaurant staff were very considerate of my dietary requirements and regularly guided me towards suitable vegetarian options. After a few days, they even remembered my preferences, which was a lovely personal touch. Another major advantage is the hotel's excellent location in central Tianjin, close to Heping Road and within walking distance of many attractions, shopping areas, and beautiful historical buildings. As someone who enjoys walking, I found the location extremely convenient. There are also plenty of halal restaurants nearby, and DiDi makes travelling to other attractions very easy and affordable. The surrounding area can become quite busy during public holidays, but that is understandable given its central location. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Nostalgia Hotel. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodation, thoughtful staff, and a fantastic location makes it a hotel I would happily recommend and return to again.

Staff was friendly. Rooms are big & clean. Location is good but need to walk bout 400-500m to reach nearest metro station Disliked: In the Galaxy theme room, there was no individual switch for the stars. Couldn’t enjoy it with all the lights turned off.

The room is big and the bathroom is also very spacious. The little sitting area is ideal for tea break or late night supper. Love the free drinks in the mini fridge and the generous bottles of water every day. The laundry service (FOC) is also excellent; we gave them the night before and the bag of freshly laundered clothes will be hanging on the door by 8am the next morning. One of the guys at reception helped us to pre-book the night cruise as we did not have a China telephone number. He was very patient and helpful. All in all, it was really value for money and we enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel. Disliked: The hotel is located somewhat between two subway stations, not really a problem except when it is raining or you had been walking the whole day.

It was a good location for a couple night stay and sight seeing. Disliked: No ice machine, but I got some from an Irish Pub a block away and the hotel stored it for me as no freezer in the room.

A most wonderful location near the river. The Art Deco style is awesome and evrrything is nicely decorated Breakfast was good and the staff is extraordinarily friendly. Best choice !
